NEWS

My quilt, Round and Round It Goes, will be debuting in the Quilt National exhibit, May 24 at the Dairy Barn in Athens, Ohio. It is an honor to be included in this prestigious show dedicated to innovative quilt artists from around the world. If you are anywhere near Athens take a moment to see this exhibit. The work is always compelling.

FACE TIME

A new SAQA book, Portfolio 19, The Art Quilt Sourcebook, is now available from the SAQA website. It includes a picture of my quilt, Same But Not on the cover (in the upper left corner) and profiles all of the professional members of the studio art quilt associates. A wonderful opportunity to review many beautiful works of art.

I love wetlands

Recently spent a little time at Heron Pond in Illinois. One of my fave places to wander. Learned about gabion baskets and castor mounds.

Such a striking photo. I am so drawn to that reflective surface, and it must be why I like the lakes and ponds of the Adirondacks, rather than the turbulent water of the ocean. Put me on the side of a quiet lake anyday.

I love Heron Pond. One tie when I was there, herons were squawking in the distance--felt like we were in the age of the dinosaur...

Just found your blog, love all the textures you're getting! Thanks for sharing.
